My Clients bought a tiny house (800+ sq. ft.) on a substandard lot and challenged us to remove the existing and create a new living environment for them. The lot is 25'-0" wide with 6'-0" setbacks on each side, so we indeed, had our work cut out for us. The height limit is 17'-0" so a second story was not possible. For the main living area, we created an expansive, open and airy space with 12'-0" ceilings and a 10'-0" window height. The goal was to allow as much light as possible into the narrow house. French Oak wood floors and custom Douglas Fir doors with transom windows add warmth to the main area. The house has a laundry, two bedrooms and two baths.
